All AWS Summits feature a keynote address highlighting the latest announcements and customer testimonials, technical sessions led by AWS experts, and hands-on technical training. Our wide variety of sessions are designed to help all levels of AWS user connect, collaborate and learn.
You will learn best practices for deploying applications on AWS, optimizing performance, monitoring cloud resources, managing security, cutting costs, and more. You will also have opportunities to meet AWS staff and partners to get your technical questions answered.
The event will be held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. located at 801 Allen Y. Lew Place NW Washington, DC 20001. The event is June 30 – July 1, 2026.
No. Registration is complimentary for this event and includes access to meals, expo hall, keynote, sessions, and receptions. We recommend that government employees always check with their ethics or compliance officer to ensure their attendance at our events is compliant with relevant laws, statues, or rules.

The Walter E. Washington Convention Center is centrally located in downtown Washington, D.C. at 801 Allen Y. Lew Place NW, Washington, DC. The convention center is served by three major airports (DCA, IAD and BWI) with easy access by car or public transportation.
For those driving to the event, multiple parking garages are located around the Convention Center with hourly and daily rates. To see a list of convenient parking garages visit the Events DC tourism website. For those on public transportation, there are several options between Metro's Green, Yellow or Red lines and Amtrak's service to the Washington, DC Union Station. Visit the Washington Metropolitan Transit Authority website for detailed maps and schedules.
No, AWS does not reimburse or validate parking or other travel associated costs.
No. We do not offer continuing or professional education credits, or a certificate of attendance.
There is no dress code for attendees. Attendee attire varies from business casual, suits, hoodies, and jeans. Please wear what you are comfortable in.
Yes. All attendees must be at least 18 years of age on the day they pick up their conference badge.

No. Space in the keynote hall is limited and registering for AWS Summit does not guarantee keynote access. The keynote will be livestreamed in the Expo and in breakout rooms to accommodate overflow seating.
No, there is no reserved seating. All seats are first come, first seated, so please arrive early to sessions you are interested in seeing.

Open allYes. Lactation rooms are designed to provide a private, secure space for lactating attendees to express milk. The spaces are equipped with lockers, cold packs, wipes, and comfy chairs.

Service animals are welcome at AWS Summit Washington, D.C. For guest hotel rooms, there are specific guidelines around service and support animals at each hotel property. Please connect directly with your hotel’s reservation desk or concierge prior to arriving for more information.
We aim to cater for a variety of dietary requirements, however we cannot guarantee this will cover specific or individual requests. If you have specific dietary needs or if you are looking for a wider variety of options we recommend that you bring your own meals with you, or take advantage of the many restaurants and cafes in the area.
